Preparing for Your First Lipolysis

Preparing for Your First Lipolysis

A lot of people struggling with weight issues now prefer lipolysis to liposuction for several reasons. For starters, lipolysis will not leave the classic bumps and fibrosis, two of the most common side effects of liposuction. More importantly, the treatments show immediate results and you don’t need to go through too many treatments to achieve the desired results.

Going in for your first lipolysis, however, can still be pretty daunting. That is why we are going to talk about some of the things you can do to prepare for your first one. Let’s get started, shall we?

Understand the Treatment

The best way to prepare for a lipolysis is by understanding the treatment properly. Lipolysis takes no more than 30 minutes to complete. You will also be able to resume normal activities once the treatment is over.

There are a few things you should avoid right after the treatment though. Exercise and other heavy activities, for example, should not be part of your schedule. It is best to wait for a couple of days before going back to the gym.

You also need to hydrate properly during the first few days after the treatment. Drinking two litres of fluid every day is recommended.

The Night Before

There is no reason to be nervous for the treatment. The more relaxed and confident you are about getting a lipolysis, the more effective the treatment will be. Try to have a bit of fun the night before and get a good night sleep afterwards. Spending a couple of hours playing Sun Bingo or simply sitting back with a nice cup of tea and a movie to watch is a good idea.

Don’t stay up late and try to avoid going out or doing other activities that may drain your energy. A good night’s sleep is highly recommended since it will help your body prepare for the treatment. Vitamin E and a healthy diet are also recommended.

Taking the Treatment

Lipolysis uses enzymes to dissolve fat and prevent fat embolism. The treatment is very natural. The dissolved fat is then carried to the liver where it is processed and thrown out of your system. Aside from a few injections, there is no procedure taken to perform a lipolysis.

It is important to remember that the treatment may be paused under certain circumstances. It is common for itching, redness and swelling to appear around the treated areas. The injections are given directly to areas that need to be treated, so you may also feel some sensitivity when the area is pressured after the treatment.

After about four treatments, you will be able to get the results you are after. Treatments need to be spaced out from each other properly, but other than that you have nothing else to do to prepare for the follow-up sessions. Even better, the results are permanent as long as you maintain a healthier diet.

So, are you ready for your first lipolysis? Take all the time you need and prepare for your first treatment. The body shape you have been dreaming about is just a few sessions away.
